During the early colonialist era. men wore linen clothing with cloaks and knitted stockings while the women wore bright colored long dresses that dropped down to their ankles. Children, on the other hand, wore wool or linen clothing in hues of blue, grey, red or green. Even though these colonial costumes have been out of fashion centuries ago, this is still a popular attire among costume parties, plays, historical reenactments, etc. We�ve seen a lot of these colonial costumes in various movies and television shows.
